Greetings!

I am making some changes to my tax practice, and want to keep you informed. My lease at Harvest Drive ended, and rather than renew, I decided to switch to an all-remote format. I vacated the office after Thanksgiving. My new PO Box number is listed below.  The business phone line hasn’t changed, nor has my email address. I no longer have a dedicated fax number, however. I’ll provide more details to everyone soon. Until then, wishing you the best in 2026.

Regards,
Sue

Hello Everyone! Here is the aforementioned additional details for this tax year!

We have been required to tweak many of our office procedures and client interactions in order to adjust to this new approach, and we hope you will be patient as we work out the details.

Since I don’t have a dedicated office to meet with you in person, you must provide all tax documents via remote portal, secure email, or US Mail. If you must schedule a phone or Zoom meeting during tax season, please contact me via e-mail to request a time. I will not schedule any meetings during tax season until I have received your tax documents, and then only if it still seems necessary once I have reviewed your figures. For more through consultations and tax planning, it may be better to schedule a Zoom meeting after April 15.

Enclosed in this packet are our usual client signature forms and checklists. Please include these documents with your tax papers. These documents will also be available on our website and in your portal.

I will leave it up to you to decide if you would like to send your tax documents via secure portal or by mail. For convenience, I will send all clients with email addresses an “invite” to set up an account at SmartVault. If you do not receive an invitation, you may request one. Even if you receive an invitation to send documents remotely, you may send them to me via regular US mail if you prefer. We prefer you to send all of your documents together, rather than piecemeal, but regardless, please let me know via email when you have uploaded all of your documents to the portal so that I can begin processing your return. You must include the completed and signed tax organizer, disclosures and engagement letter, or your file will be considered incomplete.

All clients with accounts in my portal will receive pdf copies of their tax returns. If you don’t have an e-mail address, or are otherwise unable to access the portal, you will receive a paper copy of your tax return. If you would like both a paper and a pdf copy, there will be an additional charge. You may also choose a flash drive or CD for an additional fee if desired. Please refer to our Client Tax Information packet to make your choice.

Here are the papers we need for you to complete and return with your 2025 tax documents:

client tax information, engagement letter, consent to use (all clients), and consent to disclose (investment clients only)
